A Look Behind the Scenes

A Look Behind the Scenes

The beginning of the year is a bit like the calm before the storm for my handmade business.  Although it may seem calm, there is a lot of activity going on behind the scenes.
I am working on completing applications for all the in person craft fairs and festivals for the year.  I am excited to add some new stops for Polly up north at Warrens Cranberry Festival, Minocqua After Loon, and Lakewood, WI.  You can see the rest of my tentative schedule on my event page.
One highlight of my schedule this year will be at Kaboom in June...a softball tournament in West Bend, WI.  I have been wanting to get Polly to a girls tournament and last summer this opportunity presented itself.  Well, Polly presented herself.  When I was driving back from a show, a softball mother and daughter saw me in Polly and sent me an email.  They were inquiring about me coming to their tournament and I am excited to be there in June.  Interested in having Polly at your event?  Send me an email :)
With a busy show schedule comes needing product!  The sewing machine has been working daily to bulk up on inventory.  I will be sure to share new patterns and products added, so stay tuned!
I do try to take advantage of some down time to do some projects for myself that I don't normally have time to do.  Some me time if you will.  Over the last couple weeks, I attended a class at Sew 'n Save in Racine to make a jelly roll rug, made some dog collars for my furbabies, and constructed a winter coat for myself.  It's fun to take my skills in a different direction to keep things interesting.
Alrighty....now back to all that restocking I need to get done.
Have a wonderful day!
Maggie
